Redolent Sun
Redolent Sun
The sunset dips
beyond the cloud
A shower of pink
to violet to blue to black
I can see heaven
with light endowed
Which reminds me that
I am a stranger
You will soon be
gone, my painted sky
Your hues
redolent of my heart
But I thank you
greatly for passing by
And spending this
time with me
Is His throne on
the other side
Of the horizon
which thwarts my sight
Were I to glimpse
beyond clouds so wide
And have His face
shine upon mine
